Ashley grinned and took the oreos from him. “I’m sorry! There’s just really no telling with you. And I think you’ve always been secretly jealous of oreos, so it would make sense for you to leave them behind.” She let out a dramatic sigh and popped an oreo into her mouth. Once she’d swallowed it down she looked over at Ryan and frowned. “How can I make this up to you?”
Ryan grinned and shrugged, “Okay so maybe I am a little jealous. You love them more then me. I mean everyone knows that. But I know you love them an I always have a secret stash of them. I mean if I can have an emergency cabinet full of Troians coffee and nutella I think I can manage a stash of Oreos.” He thought about it for a few seconds and grinned. “I think a few kisses should be able to cover it.”
“If Matt murders you, I’ll have no choice but to murder you. Eliza and I would probably just run off together at the point. Who knows, maybe it’ll end up being the best thing ever for me and her.” She teased and kissed him again. “Yeah, I know. I’m just that awesome. I’ve also known you for what feels like forever, I know you a lot better than most people.” Ashley leaned up and grabbed some more food, popping it into her mouth. “Too bad there were no oreos present during this though.”
Ryan rolled his eyes and reached into his pocket and pulled out a sleeve of Oreos. “Do you really think I’d come into this unprepared. What kind of fiance would I be if I didn’t make sure my woman was taken care of?” He shook his head and held his hand over his heart and frowned. “You have so little faith in me. I’m kind of disappointed in you right now.
Ashley kissed him back and leaned her head on his shoulder. “We’ll come up with some great epically romantic way that you proposed when we decide to tell everyone.” She took a glance at her ring before looking up at him. “But maybe we can keep it just between me and you for awhile? I won’t even tell Shay. Not yet.”
Ryan smiled and nodded. “Yeah that’s fine. I wouldn’t want to take away form Matt and Elizas upcoming day anyway. Matt would murder me and then where would you be without me?” He smirked and kissed her. “I love you. Somehow you always know exactly what I’m thinking and I don’t even have to say it. Makes things a lot easier.”
Ashley frowned a bit when Ryan stood up and let out a sigh. “Where are you-” She was cut off by him kneeling down and her heart instantly began beating faster than she was sure was healthy. This was it. They were finally going to be officially each others. Nodding her head she willed herself to not cry and bit her bottom lip. “Yes! Of course I’ll marry you.” So what if it wasn’t romantic, it was them and Ashley wasn’t much for over the top romantic things anyway.
Ryan slipped the ring on her finger and climbed back onto the seat and kissed her. “In my head this happened a lot differently. But I just..I took a leap. You can’t tell Eliza I did this. When we tell everyone we have to come up with something a whole lot cooler then this or else I’ll never hear the end of it.”
